Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Your Legacy Legal Care ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit call.yourlegacylegalcare.com (the "Site") or submit a request through our forms. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide. When you complete a form or contact us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code/county or other location, vehicle information (such as year, make, and model), details about your potential claim, and any other information you choose to provide.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, time on page, scroll and click behavior, the website that referred you, and your approximate geographic location. We use tools including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, which may record session activity such as clicks, scrolling, and heatmaps.
Call and text tracking; call recording. We use CallRail to track and route phone calls and text messages. This may include your phone number, the date, time, and duration of calls, the page or ad that referred you, your approximate location, and recordings of calls. Calls are recorded. Because California requires the consent of all parties to record a telephone call, you will hear a notice at the start of the call that it may be recorded; by continuing the call after that notice, you consent to being recorded. If you prefer not to be recorded, you may end the call and contact us by another method.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: respond to your inquiry and evaluate your potential claim; contact you by phone, text, or email about your request and our services; provide and improve the Site and our services; measure and improve our advertising and marketing; maintain the security of the Site; and comply with our legal obligations.
3. Text Messaging (SMS)
If you provide your phone number and agree to receive text messages, you consent to receive recurring text messages from Your Legacy Legal Care at the number you provide — including messages sent using automated technology — regarding your inquiry, your potential case, appointment scheduling, and related updates.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of legal representation.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP, or contact us at (281) 218-0880 or kim@yourlegacylegalcare.com.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS opt-in consent with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing purposes. Information you provide when opting in to text messaging is used only by us and the service providers that help us send messages on our behalf.
4. How We Share Information
We share information as follows:
- With our firm and its staff, to evaluate and respond to your inquiry.
- With co-counsel or another law firm — only when we believe your matter may be better served by another firm, and only with your approval before any referral is made.
- With service providers that perform services for us — such as website hosting, analytics, call and text tracking (CallRail), advertising partners (see Section 5), and customer-relationship management — under agreements that limit their use of the information to providing those services.
- For legal reasons — to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests and legal process, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of any person.
- In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
No attorney-client relationship. Submitting a form or contacting us through the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information until an attorney-client relationship has been established in writing.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, analyze traffic, and measure and deliver advertising. This includes advertising cookies and pixels from partners such as Google and Meta (Facebook), which help us measure ad performance and show you relevant ads on other websites and apps (sometimes called "cross-context behavioral advertising").
You can control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on, and opt out of advertising cookies as described in "Your California Privacy Rights" below. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out of sharing for browsers that send it.
6. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have certain rights regarding your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA/CPRA).
Categories of personal information we may collect: identifiers (such as name, email address, phone number, and IP address); commercial or inquiry information; internet or other electronic network activity (your interaction with the Site); approximate geolocation; audio information (call recordings); and inferences drawn from the above. We do not collect "sensitive personal information" — such as Social Security, driver's-license, or financial-account numbers, precise (GPS-level) geolocation, or health information — through the Site.
Your rights. Subject to certain exceptions, you have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we collect, use, and disclose;
- Delete personal information we collected from you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information; and
- Opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Sale and sharing. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, because we use advertising cookies and pixels (see Section 5), we do "share" certain identifiers and internet-activity information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as "sharing" is defined under the CPRA. You can opt out of this sharing at any time by using the "Your Privacy Choices" / "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the Site footer, or by sending a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser, which we honor. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
How to exercise your rights. Contact us at kim@yourlegacylegalcare.com or (281) 218-0880. We will take steps to verify your request and will respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy and to comply with our legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. In general:
- Inquiries that do not become client matters: up to 24 months, then deleted or de-identified.
- Call recordings: up to 12 months.
- Website analytics data: up to 14 months.
If you become a client, your information is retained under our standard client-file retention practices and the applicable rules of professional responsibility.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Bot and abuse protection. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our forms from automated abuse and spam by confirming that visitors are human. To perform this check, Turnstile may collect information about your device, browser, and interaction with the Site. Your use of Turnstile is subject to the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date.
